Back to ‘normal’

Lunches packed, uniform laid out and the boy tucked up in bed with another David Walliams book, all ready to start a new school year tomorrow. Hello Year 3.

I usually have mixed emotions this time of year as our summers are jam packed with days out, and amazing holidays and the thought of our carefree days coming to an end make me sad, however this year I am welcoming Autumn with open arms as it’s that one step closer to the end of the year.

I am not one to be wishing away time, I know that time is precious and I would sometimes feel that there aren’t enough hours in the day but I can honestly say I will be glad to see the back of this year.

It has been the shittiest Summer ever for obvious reasons.

I am looking forward to the little chats we have on our walk to/from school, rushing to make the extra curricular activities on time and I’m actually looking forward to being at work.

I am looking forward to that ‘normal’ routine again.

I am looking forward to the evenings getting darker that little bit earlier....maybe so I get to look up at the stars that little bit longer. 🥰

New PJs snuggled on the sofa with hot drinks & Jaxon getting excited about his fast approaching birthday.

So....this year I am not sad to say goodbye to summer.

I am still trying to find the balance in being at peace with being alone so being kept occupied again can hopefully only be a good thing.

I’ve enjoyed reading Happy by Fearne Cotton so much (still working my way through the journal) I picked the next 2 books up today.

So...with Louis out for the evening, the boy in bed and the dog fed I’m gonna put the kettle on, get comfy on the sofa and dip into some positivity.

Today I am ok.

Until next time maybe,

Michelle xXx
